Tianrun Chen

CEO & Founder

With a background in acoustics, mechanical engineering and geophysics, Tianrun has strong multi-disciplinary skills with 14 years of academic and industry experience. He held several technical and project management roles in Halliburton and Shell, an experience that led to a profound understanding of the upstream energy business and operations. Tianrun led some critical engineering projects including sensor hardware and algorithm development and managed several multi-million dollar seismic acquisition and processing projects. He received a PhD degree from M.I.T in 2008.

Xinding Fang

CTO

Dr. Xinding Fang received his PhD in Geophysics from MIT and has 10+ years of experience in geophysics, petrophysics, geomechanics and data science and has participated in multiple projects related to seismic characterization, well logging and geomechanical analysis. He worked at Chevron as a researcher in the Drilling Department 2014~2017 and spent 5 years at the University of Houston and SUSTech conducting research and exploring new technologies in many different areas such as multi-physics sensing technology and data fusion, internet-of-things (IoT) hardware and software development and advanced acoustic/seismic sensing technologies. He has a proven academic experience and is the author or co-author of over 70 research publications and multiple patents in the areas of seismic characterization, borehole geophysics, rock physics and rock mechanics. He received the 2019 SEG J. Clarence Karcher Award in recognition of his excellent contributions to exploration geophysics.

Siwei Li

Chief Scientist

Siwei is a computational geophysicist and applied mathematician with 8 years of industrial experiences. He started his career with Chevron in 2014 as a researcher developing cutting edge seismic processing techniques, then adopted an integrated, multi-disciplinary exploration role in the deep-water business unit before joining SensorEra. With a solid background in numerical and analytical skills, Siwei is not only interested in but also committed to developing innovative, cost-effective and reliable technological solutions for measurable business impacts. He holds a BSc in Geophysics from Peking University in 2009 and PhD in Geophysics from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014.
